Josef Kröner studied violin at the Munich Academy of Music.
In addition to his position as first violinist in Bavarian Radio, he soon had concert engagements as a soloist and chamber musician around the world.
In 1997, together with Prof. Andreas Reiner, he founded the KlangVerwaltung orchestra, which performed with conductor Enoch zu Guttenberg in the most important music centers worldwide.
Tours have taken the ensemble to America, Asia and the most important concert halls in Europe.
It was also Orchestra in Residence at the Herrenchiemsee Festival.
Josef Kröner has been involved in the Festival’s programming and artistic coordination since its foundation.
From 2014, he took over the programming and was appointed Managing Director and Program Director in 2017.
Since the death of Enoch zu Guttenberg, Josef Kröner has been responsible for the International Herrenchiemsee Festival as Managing Director.
