Dieter Rexroth

Prof. Dr. Dieter Rexroth was a musicological authority who always had the entire history of music in mind, far removed from any epochal boundaries. In his thinking and in his interpretations, Dieter Rexroth knew how to convincingly connect the past and the present – as he did in his texts and with his inspiring and groundbreaking introductory lectures, which always placed the Herrenchiemsee Festival program in a great historical context. The Herrenchiemsee Festival has been associated with Prof. Dr. Dieter Rexroth through many years of valuable collaboration.
