The vocal ensemble ‘LauschWerk’ consists mainly of active and former members of the Audi Youth Choir Academy who have decided to pursue a professional singing career. Under the direction of Martin Steidler, the ensemble, which is made up of different numbers of singers depending on the programme, performs challenging vocal music from the Renaissance to the modern era.

The vocal ensemble’s work focuses on promoting vocal and artistic skills and aims to provide impetus for further development as a soloist. At the invitation of the Bavarian State Opera, the ensemble took part in the opera production Semele at the Munich Opera Festival 2023. As part of the Herrenchiemsee Festival 2023, the ensemble presented works from the so-called Chigi Codex. In the Audi Summer Concerts 2024’s own production of Purcell’s “The Fairy Queen”, the ensemble took on the chorus part and all solos. Most recently, LauschWerk performed at the 1st Philharmonic Concert of the Hamburg Philharmonic State Orchestra in September 2024 in the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg.
