Vocal ensemble LauschWerk

The vocal ensemble LauschWerk consists mostly of active and former members of the Audi Jugendchorakademie who decided to pursue a professional singing career.

Depending on the program, the ensemble consists of different singers and performs under the direction Martin Steidler demanding vocal music from Renaissance to contemporary music.

The work in the vocal ensemble aims at preparing its members for singing in professional ensembles, to further develop vocals skills and provide its members with impulses for their further development as soloists. On invitation of Bavarian State Opera the ensemble sang in the production Semele 2023. At Herrenchiemsee Festival it presented works of the so-called Chigi Kodex. In the 2024 Audi Summer Concerts production of Purcell’s The Fairy Queen, the ensemble took over the choral part and all solos. Lauschwerk last performed at the 1. Philharmonic’s concert of the Hamburg Philharmonic State Orchestra in September 2024 at the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg.
